Study of the composition of nitriles using IR spectroscopy

Abstract

In this article we have determined the chemical composition of nitrotoluene and nitromethane using IR spectroscopy as a method. The absorption spectrum of nitrotoluene is between the following wave numbers 1537cm^-1 and 1358 cm^-1. The absorption spectrum of nitromethane is between the following wave numbers 1573cm^-1 and 1383cm^-1.
